Thoroughly clean both sides of the backing plates above the wheel cylinders with Mopar brake cleaner or equivalent.

Position dampener weight in place against back side of backing plate and carefully mark hole centerline on upper edge and front groove of
backing plate, Figures 1, 2.
NOTE:
THE WEIGHT IS CONTOURED TO FIT INTO THE REAR OF THE BACKING PLATE WITH THE FLAT SURFACE
FACING TOWARD THE DIFFERENTIAL.

Center punch and drill, using a 9/32 inch diameter drill bit. Drill inside of backing plate at hole alignment mark made in groove of the backing
plate, Figure 3.

Temporarily install dampener weight using tee bolt and align weight to mark the second hole, Figure 4.
10.
Carefully mark hole location and remove dampener weight. Center punch and drill second hole as in Step 8.
