Overdrive Solenoid: Description and Operation

Transmission Electrical Connections (4 Speed Overdrive)

This solenoid is controlled by the engine controller (SBEC).  The engine controller can ENERGIZE or DE-ENERGIZE the solenoid by switching the
ground on and off from its circuit.  This solenoid is used to activate the 3-4 overdrive upshift and downshift.
