Dakota 4WD V8-4.7L (2009)
4. Loosely install the two bolts (1) that secure the HVAC housing to the passenger compartment side of the dash panel.
5. Tighten the three nuts that secure the HVAC housing to the engine compartment side of the dash panel to 7 Nm (62 in. lbs.).
6. Tighten the two bolts that secure the HVAC housing to the passenger compartment side of the dash panel to 3 Nm (26 in. lbs.).
7. Install the instrument panel See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Instrument Panel -
Installation.
8. If equipped with 3.7L engine and automatic transmission, install the number six cylinder ignition coil retaining stud and ignition coil See:
Powertrain Management/Ignition System/Ignition Coil/Service and Repair/Ignition Coil - Installation.
9. If equipped with 4.7L engine, install the intake manifold See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Removal
and Replacement/Intake Manifold - Installation.
10. Remove the previously installed plugs or caps and connect the heater hoses to the heater core tubes.
11. Remove the previously installed plugs or caps and connect the A/C liquid line and the A/C accumulator to the A/C evaporator See: Hose/Line
HVAC/Service and Repair/A/C Liquid Line - Installation and See: Accumulator HVAC/Service and Repair/Accumulator - Installation.
12. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
13. If the heater core is being replaced, flush the cooling system See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service and Repair.
14. Refill the engine cooling system See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service and Repair.
15. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant System Charge.
16. Initiate the Actuator Calibration function using a scan tool See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/HVAC System
