Remove the transmission vent hose (Figure 2).

Remove and discard the tie strap/clip from the vent hose (Figure 3).
8.
Cut the vent hose 3" (75 mm) from the jiggle valve (Figure 3).
9.
Install the shortened vent hose with the jiggle valve on the transmission vent hose nipple.
NOTE:
If the vent hose is missing or if a cap is installed on the transmission nipple, order and install a new vent hose assembly (P/N 53032457AA).
10.
Raise the vehicle on the hoist and remove the jack stands.
11.
Install the two left side cab bolts (Figure 1). Tighten the cab bolts to 60 ft-lbs (81 Nm).
12.
Tighten the two right cab bolts to 60 ft-lbs (81 Nm).
13.
Lower the vehicle.
