Dakota 4WD V8-4.7L VIN P Flex Fuel (2007)
1. With vehicle in neutral, position on hoist.
2. Mark (3) companion flange (2) and pinion shaft (1) for installation reference.
3. Remove propeller shaft.
4. Remove rear brake components to prevent any drag.
5. Rotate pinion flange three or four times and verify flange rotates smoothly.
6. Measure pinion torque to rotate (1) with a inch pound torque wrench (2) and record reading for installation reference.
