Connect the long hose to the in-line connector (at the dash panel passenger side of the valve cover), and the short hose to the carburetor spacer
purge nipple (Figure 5).

NOTE:

FORMED HOSE, PN 4300464, WILL NOT BE USED IN THESE APPLICATIONS AND SHOULD BE DISCARDED.

Reinstall the fuel reservoir (or regulator) and bracket, and hoses if applicable. Start the engine and check the fuel and vacuum hoses for leaks.
Reinstall the air cleaner.

Type Authorized Modification Label, PN 4275086 (Figure 6), and attach near the VECI label. On California vehicles clean the existing hose
routing label and apply the appropriate hose routing label provided.
