Claims for vehicles which have been serviced must be submitted by DIAL dealers on the DIAL System. Non DIAL dealers may submit WROs. Claims
submitted will be used by Chrysler to record recall service completions and provide dealer payments.

Enter only one VIN per claim on a WRO. Fill in the labor operation number and time allowance and write on the WRO "Emisions Recall # 438 -- 
Oxygen Sensor." Do not enter other service claims on the same WRO.

Add the cost of the oxygen sensor plus the applicable dealer allowance to your claim.

Parts Return

Removed oxygen sensors must be returned to the Warranty Material Return Center.

If a car is not available for this service for a known reason, let us know by filling out the pre-addressed Vehicle Disposition Form portion of the Owner
Recall Notification Form or describe the reason on a postcard and mail to:

This service requirement applies only to 1984 model year can equipped with a

2.2L EFI engine and Federal emission system (Dodge 600 & Daytona, Chrysler E Class, Laser, LeBaron & New Yorker).

For this recall, parts will be distributed to involved dealers at dealer cost.

Reimbursement for the part cost plus the applicable dealer allowance will be included in the claim payment.

EMISSIONS RECALL --
1984 CHRYSLER MOTORS PASSENGER CAR WITH 2.2 LITER ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTED ENGINE

Dear Chrysler Motors Vehicle Owner:

It has been determined that your 1984 Chrysler Motors car, with a 2.2 liter electronic fuel injected engine, may be in violation of Federal Emissions
Standards. Carbon monoxide levels could be above the allowable limits, which were established to protect the public health and welfare from the dangers
of air pollution. For this reason, we are asking you to return your vehicle -- identified by the Vehicle Identification Number on the enclosed, form -- to
your dealer, for a special service repair. This service will be provided free of charge.

The needed instructions have been sent to all Chrysler-Plymouth and Dodge dealers. The service will not hurt your engine performance or fuel economy.
