Auxiliary Shaft Seal: Service and Repair
SEAL REMOVAL
Timing Belt, Sprocket, And Seals
Crankshaft, Intermediate Shaft, Camshaft Oil Seal Removal
1. Remove all oil control seals on 2.2L engines with factory tool (C-4679) or equivalent. On 2.5L engines the crankshaft seal must be removed using
factory tool (C-4991), all other seals on the 2.5L engine use tool C-4679 for removal.
CAUTION: Do not nick shaft seal surface or seal bore.
