5. Install pump ring on the dowel pins. Ensure pump ring identification marks are facing upward. The identification marks are two shallow dots
located next to the dowel pin hole.
6. Install pump rotor with counterbore toward pump shaft end or housing, then install rotor vanes with rounded edges facing outward.

7. Install thrust plate O-ring, and thrust plate, ensuring thrust plate engages pump ring dowel pins.
8. Press thrust plate into pump housing, then install thrust plate retaining ring.
9. Install new shaft seal by pressing into housing with a suitable size socket, ensuring seal is fully seated.
10. Install pump shaft bearing onto pump shaft, taking care to support bearing inner race when pressing into position.

11. Install shaft in pump housing, rotating until splines engage with rotor. Ensure shaft is bottomed in the housing, then install bearing retaining ring.
Install retaining ring so large lug of ring is to the right of the small lug.
12. Install pump pulley, then the pump in vehicle.
