Injector pulse width, (switching the ground on and off twice per engine revolution).

Idle speed, through the IAC motor.

Ignition timing.

Note:  The PCM enters "Closed Loop" operation after the engine reaches operating temperature and the delay has elapsed. 

Wide Open Throttle (WOT)

PCM MONITORS:

Engine Temperature (ECT)

Manifold Vacuum (MAP sensor)

Engine rpm (distributor pick-up)

Throttle Opening (TPS)

Battery Voltage

PCM CONTROLS:

-

De-energizes EGR system, by grounding Electronic EGR Transducer (EET) solenoid.

-

Adjusts injector pulse width, to supply additional fuel.

-

Monitor oxygen sensor and fine tune air/fuel ratio by varying injector pulse width

-

Adjust ignition timing.

-

De-energize A/C Compressor Clutch relay (if selected)

Ignition Switch Off

When the ignition switch is OFF the PCM interrupts the ground to the ASD and fuel pump relays.  

                   

Warm Idle

PCM MONITORS:

Engine Temperature (ECT Sensor)

Manifold Vacuum (MAP Sensor)

Engine RPM (distributor pick-up)
