Seat belts should be worn whenever the vehicle is in motion. The operation and mounting of the belts should not be tampered with at any time.
Unlike the unibelt system, a hard pull on the shoulder belt will lock the retractors.
Seat belts that are damaged or cut should be replaced when removal, installation, or repair is necessary. Refer to the illustrations for proper system
location and mounting hardware. If the seat belt retaining bolts, located on the floor pan, must be removed and the vehicle is to be driven, the seat belt
retaining bolts should be installed to prevent exhaust fumes from entering the vehicle.
