Mask the fender wheel opening as shown in Figure 5. Clean and scuff the masked area and spray blackout paint (DX9) below the mask line.

Insert retainer PN 6030441 into the bottom hole of the fender on the wheel opening flange (Figure 5).

Using template No. 1, mark the new trim line on the fascia and cut the fascia with a sharp utility knife (Figure 6).

Trim the rear corner on the bottom flange of the fascia as shown in Figure 7.
9.
Touch up the cut edge of the fascia with MoPar Touch-Up paint.
10.
Install the splash shield and fascia using new retainers.
11.
Install the tire and wheel and lower the vehicle.
12.
Check the tire-to-fascia clearance for a minimum of 1/4-inch (6.35 mm). If the clearance is acceptable, no further action is required. If the
clearance is not acceptable, the fender will have to be shimmed at the front, continue on to step 13.
NOTE:
Body shims are available through local auto body supply shops. The shim(s) thickness must equal 3/16-inch (5 mm).
