Distributor (Optical) Pick-Up: Description and Operation

The engine controller receives engine speed information from the distributor pick-up.  The distributor uses an optical sensor and internal metal disk to
create a pulsing signal.  This signal is sent to the engine controller, which converts the signals to engine speed information.
