NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES ONLY TO VEHICLES WITH 2.2L AND 2.5L EFI ENGINES EQUIPPED WITH AN EGR SYSTEM.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The vehicle's "Check Engine/Power Loss" lamp comes on and Fault Codes 13 and/or 14 are set into the diagnostic system.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using the DRB II tester and the appropriate diagnostic manual, verify that Fault Codes 13 (No Change in MAP From Start to Run) and/or 14 (MAP
Voltage Too High/Low), and no other fault codes, are present. If it is determined that the MAP sensor must be replaced, perform the following repair in
addition to replacing the MAP sensor. Perform the tests outlined in the appropriate service manual to check the function of the EGR Valve/Back
Pressure Transducer assembly and replace if necessary.
