SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Loss of reverse gear engagement due to reverse pull-up ring or lockout strap failure.

DIAGNOSIS
Remove the gearshift knob from the manual gearshift mechanism. Lift the reverse pull-up ring (Figure 1) to engage reverse gear. If the pull-up ring
detaches from the gearshift mechanism, follow the repair procedure below.
