Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair
Leaf Spring Service

To replace interliners, remove spring alignment clips and on all models except Imperial, discard alignment clips. Separate spring leaves with a
screwdriver or other suitable tool and remove interliners. Thoroughly clean spring surfaces before installation of new interliners.
To replace zinc interleaves, clamp spring in a vise and remove center bolt. Open vise carefully, allowing spring to expand. Interleaves can now be
serviced. Install a drift through spring center bolt holes and clamp spring in a vise. Remove drift and install center bolt.
