DISASSEMBLE
The equipment shown should be used for this operation. After removing the oil seal snap ring and back-up ring, remove the oil seal by sliding the
threaded portion of the tool's adapter over end of gear shaft and install nut section of tool (C-3350) on shaft. Maintain pressure on adapter with nut of
tool while turning adapter, forcing it into seal until it has bottomed in seal. Apply two half rings and retainer over both portions of tool. As hex nut is
removed from shaft seal will be pulled from housing.

ASSEMBLE
Install gear shaft oil seal in housing (lip of seal toward needle bearing) using Tool (C-3350). Place adapter against seal and tool nut on threaded end of
gear shaft. Tighten tool nut until adapter shoulder contacts housing. Install oil seal back-up ring, oil seal and snap ring.
