Water Pump - Description
5.7L HEV ENGINE
A centrifugal water pump (1) circulates coolant through the water jackets, passages, intake manifold, radiator core, cooling system hoses and heater core.
The pump is driven by a single drive belt that is driven by the crankshaft pulley.
The water pump impeller is pressed onto the rear of a shaft that rotates in bearings pressed into the housing. The 5.7L HEV water pump also incorporates
an internal electrically controlled clutch to improver warm up emissions.
