1. Perform HEV specific high voltage power down and high voltage isolation check safety procedures. See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System,
Hybrid Drive/Service and Repair/Battery System - High Voltage Power Down
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
CAUTION: Disconnecting the 12 V battery from the vehicle within two minutes of the last ignition key transition from Off to Run may cause a
Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) State Of Charge (SOC) mismatch.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Drain the TPIM cooling system See: Cooling System/Service and Repair/TPIM Cooling System Draining
5. Disconnect the coolant pump electrical connector (1).
6. Remove the coolant line (3).
7. Remove the coolant line (5).
8. Remove the coolant pump mounting bolts (2).
9. Remove the coolant pump and bracket (1) from the vehicle.
