Power Gauge - Description
DESCRIPTION
A power gauge is only found in the instrument clusters of vehicles equipped with the optional Hybrid Electrical Vehicle (HEV) system. The power gauge
is located to the right side of the instrument cluster, just right of the speedometer. The power gauge consists of a movable gauge needle or pointer
controlled by the instrument cluster circuitry and a fixed 200 degree scale on the gauge dial face that reads left-to-right on the outer circumference of the
gauge scale CHARGING, ECONOMY and POWER. Text that reads HYBRIDappears within a gradated green wedge on the cluster overlay that
extends above the hub of the power gauge needle toward the ECONOMY range of the scale.
The power gauge graphics are white, blue, green and gray against a white field, making them clearly visible within the instrument cluster in daylight.
When illuminated from behind by the panel lamps dimmer controlled cluster general illumination lighting with the exterior lamps turned ON, the white
gauge dial face appears blue-green, the blue graphics still appear blue, the green graphics still appear green, the white text appears in blue-green
silhouetted against a darkened blue, green or gray field and the red gauge needle still appears red. Gauge illumination is provided by an integral
electro-luminescent lamp that is serviced as a unit with the instrument cluster.
The power gauge is serviced as a unit with the instrument cluster.
