Multiple Displacement Solenoid - Removal
REMOVAL

1. Perform the HEV high voltage power down procedure See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Service and Repair/Battery
System - High Voltage Power Down
2. Remove the intake manifold See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Intake
Manifold - Removal
3. Remove the intake manifold foam insulator pad (1).
4. Remove the electrical connector (1) from the Multi Displacement System (MDS) solenoid(s) (2).
5. Remove the MDS solenoid(s) retaining bolt (3).
