Oil Intake Control Valve - Removal
REMOVAL
WARNING: On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In
addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High
Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury See: Hybrid Drive
Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Service Precautions
1. Perform the fuel system pressure release procedure See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair
2. Disconnect the 12 volt battery system ground isolation connector (1) located next to the electric vacuum pump (2).
3. Perform the HEV high voltage power down procedure See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Service and Repair/Battery
System - High Voltage Power Down
4. Remove the intake manifold See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Intake
Manifold - Removal
5. Disconnect the oil control valve (OCV) electrical connector (2).
6. Remove the OCV fastener (1).
