Fuel Tank Isolation Valve - Removal
REMOVAL - HEV

1. Perform the fuel system pressure release procedure See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair
2. Perform the HEV high voltage power down procedure See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Service and Repair/Battery
System - High Voltage Power Down
3. Raise and support vehicle.
The EVAP canister is located at the front of the fuel tank. The Evaporative System Integrity Monitor (ESIM) switch is attached to the EVAP canister.
4. Disconnect the rubber hose (1) at the ESIM switch.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) at the ESIM switch.
6. Disconnect the fuel tank isolation valve quick-connect fitting (3) at the EVAP canister.
7. Disconnect the fuel tank isolation valve vapor line quick-connect fitting (1) to the purge solenoid tubing connector.
