EGR Valve: Service and Repair
Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve - Installation
INSTALLATION - HEV
WARNING: On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In
addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High
Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury See: Hybrid Drive

NOTE: The Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) uses a High Flow EGR valve. The High Flow EGR valve can only be used on the HEV engine and
is not compatible with any other engine applications.
1. Position the EGR valve (1) in place and securely tighten retainers (2).
2. Position the EGR routing tube (2) and securely tighten retainers.
3. Connect the EGR valve electrical connector (1).
