THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION IS THE PREFERRED METHOD FOR FLASHING ECUs.
HELP USING THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION FOR FLASHING AN ECU IS AVAILABLE BY SELECTING "HELP" THEN "HELP
CONTENTS" AT THE TOP OF THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION WINDOW.
THE wiTECH SOFTWARE LEVEL MUST BE AT RELEASE 10.02 OR HIGHER TO PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE.
StarMOBILE DESKTOP CLIENT or StarSCAN MAY ALSO BE USED TO PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE.

Flash: MIL Illumination For P2096, P2097, P2098, P2099, P0420, P0430, P0606, P0776, P0752, P061B, P079B/A and POA8D.
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves flashing the Hybrid Control Processor (HCP), PCM module, Trans Control (TEHCM), and Accessory Power Module (APM) with
new software.

This bulletin applies to HEV vehicles only (sales code EZE).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may experience an intermittent MIL Lamp with a code of P2096, P2097, P2098, and P2099, with no driveability complaints. Calibration
update for the PCM will also address detonation knocking, and codes P0420 and P0430 that the customer may experience.
For the TEHCM the software will eliminate the latching of P0606 caused by performing other flashes. It will prevent P0776 to set when P0752 is active.
It will also improve diagnostics for the clutch 2 hydraulic system.
For the HCP, the software change will reduce the possibility for P061B torque security to set before P079B/A Transmission Friction Element 2/1 Slip
Detected code stored in the TEHCM, allowing for improved diagnostics.
For the APM the software is for code POA8D APM system voltage low. This code may be found during a vehicle scan. It will not turn on the MIL and
there will not be any driveability issues.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the vehicle operator describes or experiences the Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
