Internal Transmission Wiring Harness - Removal
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Place a suitable drain pan beneath the transmission oil pan (1).
3. Remove the bolts holding front and sides of the oil pan to the transmission.
4. Loosen the bolts holding the rear of the oil pan to transmission.
5. Slowly separate the front of pan away from transmission allowing the fluid to drain into the drain pan.
6. Hold up pan and remove remaining bolts holding the pan (1) to the transmission (4).
7. Support the oil pan and lower it from the transmission.
8. Pour any remaining fluid into the drain pan.
9. Separate the primary (2) and auxiliary (3) oil filters from valve body and oil pump and pour the fluid from the filters into the drain pan.
10. Inspect the oil filter seal in the bottom of the oil pump. If the seal is not installed completely in the oil pump, or is otherwise damaged, remove it
with a suitable tool, and discard the oil filter seals from the bottom of the oil pump. The seals can be reused if they are in good condition.
11. Disconnect the TEHCM 2-way electrical jumper connector (1).
