Flash: 4.7L MIL Illumination Due To DTC PO13A / PO13C - Oxygen Sensor Rationality
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM ) with new software.

NOTE:
This information applies to vehicles equipped with a 4.7 engine (sales code EVA or EVD) and California emissions (sales code NAE) that were built
prior to October 28, 2006 (MDH 1028XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
A number of vehicles have been shipped that may exhibit a MIL illumination due to DTC PO13A/PO13C - Downstream Oxygen Sensor(s) Slow
Response - Rich to Lean.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (StarSCAN(R)) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify all engine systems are functioning as
designed. If DTCs are present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the vehicle operator describes or experiences the Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
