3. Remove the link rod (2) from the liftgate ball stud (1).
4. NOTE: In the event the liftgate ball stud becomes worn or damaged it may be replaced. Refer to the following procedure for ball stud
replacement.
Using the appropriate sized socket, remove the ball stud (2) from the liftgate (1).
