NOTE: When replacing the power brake booster, the Anti-Lock Brake Module (ABM) must be initialized using the scan tool. To initialize the
ABM perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST - HEV. See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and Associated Procedures/Verification Tests/ABS Verification Test
1. With the booster to cowl gasket in place, guide the booster studs into the cowl panel holes and seat the booster on the panel. It may be necessary to
have an assistant in the vehicle to guide the booster rod toward the center of the vehicle away from the brake pedal.
2. Install the three new booster attaching nuts (1) and tighten to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).
