Durango 4WD V8-5.7L Hybrid (2009)
NOTE: When the oil pan is removed, a new integral windage tray and gasket assembly must be installed. The old windage tray and gasket
assembly cannot be reused.
8. Remove the windage tray/oil pan gasket.
9. Remove the timing chain cover See: Timing Components/Timing Cover/Service and Repair/Engine Timing Cover(s) - Removal
10. Remove the oil pump (1) See: Engine Lubrication/Oil Pump/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement
11. Remove the timing chain and sprockets See: Timing Components/Timing Chain/Service and Repair/Timing Chain & Sprockets - Removal
NOTE: The connecting rods and bearing caps are not interchangeable and should be marked before removal to make sure they are installed
in their original locations.
CAUTION: Do not use a number stamp or a punch to mark the connecting rods or caps, as damage to the connecting rods could occur.
