Front Crankshaft Oil Seal - Installation
INSTALLATION
WARNING: On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In
addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High
Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury See: Hybrid Drive

CAUTION: The front crankshaft seal must be installed dry. Do not apply lubricant to the sealing lip or the outer edge.
1. Using the crankshaft front oil seal installer 9072 (2) and damper installer 8512A (1), install the crankshaft front oil seal.
CAUTION: To prevent severe damage to the crankshaft or damper, thoroughly clean the damper bore and the crankshaft nose before
installing damper.
2. Install the vibration damper See: Cylinder Block Assembly/Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley/Service and Repair/Vibration Damper -
Installation
3. Install the radiator cooling fan and shroud assembly See: Cooling System/Radiator Cooling Fan
4. Install the upper radiator hose.
5. Install the water pump drive belt (1) See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Installation.
6. Refill cooling system See: Cooling System/Service and Repair
7. Perform the HEV high voltage power up procedure . See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Service and Repair/Battery
