With an appropriate drift punch, drive the brake shoe retainer pin out of the caliper (Refer to Figure 1).

Remove the two caliper mounting bolts (Refer to Figure 2).

Lift the caliper up and away from the brake disc. The brake shoes and the anti-rattle clip will be dislodged from the adapter assembly. Suspend the
caliper on a wire hook. DO NOT allow the caliper assembly to hang by the hose.

Place a 1 in. thick wood block between the caliper piston and the caliper fingers. (Do not use a thinner block because this will result in the piston
coming completely out of the bore).

7.

Carefully depress the service brake pedal to push the piston against the wood block. Release the service brake pedal and remove the wood block.
