Front Cover "O" Ring

4.

Lubricate front cover "O" ring and install it in the groove in the front cover.

5.

Install front cover to the compressor housing using the dowel pins for proper alignment.

6.

Install compressor through bolts and torque to 260 in.lbs. (29 N-m)

Felt Insert

7.

Install key in compressor and shaft felt insert.

8.

Check compressor oil level.

9.

Rotate compressor shaft by hand at least 5 revolutions checking for smooth operation.

10.

Reinstall clutch and coil assembly.

11.

Check the air gap between the front plate and the pulley with a feeler gauge. The gap should be 0.020-0.035 inch.

If the air gap does not meet specifications, remove the front plate and adjust the shim thickness accordingly.
