REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This repair involves the installation of a formed hose and MAP sensor bleed assembly.

1.

Remove and discard the rubber hose connecting the MAP sensor to the vacuum harness (on passenger cars) or to the throttle body (on minivans).

2.

Install the MAP sensor bleed assembly (4669040) into the formed hose (4669109) supplied with the package. For passenger cars (except 1989
Omni/Horizon and all 1990-91 passenger cars) install the bleed assembly into the long leg of the molded hose. For minivans install the bleed
assembly into the short leg of the molded hose (Figure 1).

3.

Cut the 17.5" sensor bleed hose (4638819), supplied in the package, to the length shown in the following chart. Install this hose on the MAP sensor
bleed assembly. This hose is not required on 1989 Omni/Horizon or 1990-91 passenger cars.
