Insert a syphon hose into the fuel filler tube, and drain the fuel into an approved gasoline holding tank.

Release the fuel system pressure as follows:
a.
Remove the protective cap from the fuel pressure test port on the fuel rail (Figure 1).
b.
Place the open end of fuel pressure release hose (C-4799-1) into an approved gasoline container. Connect the other end of the hose to the
fuel pressure test port. Fuel pressure will bleed off through the hose into the gasoline container.
c.
Remove the pressure release hose and install the protective cap.
5.
Remove the three (3) screws which secure the filler tube to the body.
6.
Raise the vehicle on an appropriate hoist until the wheel well is at working level (shoulder height).
