Clip the other end of the ground strap to the rear edge of the filler tube blocker bracket (Figure 5).

Reinstall the left rear wheel splash shield using the provided push clips.
8.
Lower the vehicle from the hoist.

Dear Chrysler Minivan Owner:
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Chrysler Corporation has determined that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in some 1996 Dodge Caravan and Grand Caravan;
Plymouth Voyager and Grand Voyager; and Chrysler Town & Country minivans.
The Problem is ...
A static charge may build up on the fuel filler tube on your minivan (identified on the enclosed form), and cause a spark to occur when fueling the
vehicle. This condition creates the potential for a vehicle fire which could be hazardous to vehicle occupants.
What Chrysler and your dealer will do ...
Chrysler will repair your minivan free of charge (parts and labor). To do this, your dealer will install a ground strap on the fuel filler tube. The work
will take about one half hour to complete. However, additional time may be necessary depending on how dealer appointments are scheduled and
processed.
What you must do to ensure your safety ...

Simply contact your dealer right away to schedule a service appointment. Ask the dealer to hold the parts for your vehicle or to order them before
your appointment.

Bring the enclosed Owner Notification Form with you to your dealer. It explains the required service to the dealer.
