The roof rack cross bows are designed in an "Air Foil (tear drop) shape and the leading edge (thick section) of both cross bows must be facing forward
and the trailing edge (thin section) facing rearward (Fig. 1). In addition, when the roof rack is not being used to carry items, the cross bows should be
placed in an optimum (static) fore I aft position with the forward bow located slightly in front of the roof rail center support and the rear bow positioned
fully rearward on the rail. (Fig. 1).
DIAGNOSIS:
If the sound is described or experienced, inspect the Cross Bows for correct orientation as shown in (Fig. 1). Are the Cross Bows orientated properly?

Yes - Further Diagnosis is Required.

No - Perform the Repair Procedure.

Provide a copy of these instructions to the Customer for their future reference when using the Roof Rack
