Front Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair
Front Exterior Handle - Removal
REMOVAL
NOTE: Left side door shown in illustrations. Right side door similar.
1. With the door glass in the full up position, remove the front door trim panel See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair/Front Door Trim Panel -
Removal.
2. Remove the round close-out plug (1) from the carrier plate (2) to gain access to the exterior door handle.
3. Working through the access hole in the carrier plate (1), remove the door lock cylinder shield (2) from inside the door, if equipped.
