Sunroof / Moonroof Motor: Service and Repair
Sunroof Motor - Installation

INSTALLATION

1. If sunroof was open when drive motor was removed, carefully move glass panel into closed position and remove glass panel. See: Sunroof /

2. Set sunroof timing by manually sliding the mechanisms in the track until timing mark on guide (3) is between timing marks (2) on lifter arm (1). 

3. Place motor (4) into position and install screws (2) attaching motor to bracket (1). 
4. Tighten the screws (2) to 3 Nm (26 in. lbs.).
5. Connect the motor electrical connector (3).
6. If sunroof glass panel was removed previously, install the sunroof glass panel. See: Sunroof / Moonroof Panel/Service and Repair/Sunroof Glass -

Installation

7. Partially install the headliner and connect the remaining sunroof wiring electrical connectors. See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and

Repair/Headliner - Installation.

8. Temporarily install sunroof switch and perform the sunroof motor teach procedure. See: Service and Repair/Procedures.
9. Test sunroof operation, adjust glass as necessary. See: Sunroof / Moonroof Panel/Adjustments.

10. Complete the headliner installation. See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Headliner - Installation.
