14. Collapse the front cable retainer fingers at the end of the cable housing (1). Using an appropriate size box wrench (2) works well to do this.
15. Separate cable from parking brake lever (3).

16. Lift back the carpet and remove the cable routing P-Clip from the weld stud.
17. Pull the cable seal loose from the floor pan.
18. Pull the front parking brake cable (5) out of the vehicle through the hole in the floor pan (4).

Rear Cable

REMOVAL

1. Release the parking brake.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair

3. Remove wheel mounting nuts (3), then tire and wheel assembly (1).

4. Manually release the automatic adjuster mechanism tension of the parking brake lever assembly on the cables. See: Service and Repair
