6. Remove the nut that secures the A/C discharge hose to the A/C compressor (Figure 3).
7. Disconnect the A/C discharge hose from the A/C compressor.
8. Remove and discard the A/C discharge hose from the engine compartment.
9. Lubricate new rubber O-ring seals with clean refrigerant oil and install them and new gaskets onto the discharge hose fittings.
NOTE:
Use only refrigerant oil recommended for the A/C system (Mopar R-134a Compressor Oil PAG Type P/N 82300102).
10. Position the new A/C discharge hose into the engine compartment.
11. Connect the A/C discharge hose to the A/C compressor (Figure 3).
12. Install the nut that secures the A/C discharge hose to the A/C compressor.
Tighten the nut to 17 ft. lbs. (23 N.m).
13. Connect the A/C discharge hose to the condenser tapping block (Figure 2)

Install the nut that secures the A/C discharge hose to the A/C condenser.
Tighten the nut to 17 ft. lbs. (23 N.m).
15. Using a refrigerant recovery machine, evacuate the refrigerant system.
16. Using a refrigerant recovery machine, add oil to system if required and charge the refrigerant system.
NOTE:
Refer to the under hood A/C label to determine the proper amount of refrigerant for the A/C system.
17. Install the air filter housing onto the vehicle.
