A/C Discharge Hose
Effective immediately all repairs on involved vehicles are to be performed
according to this notification. Rapid Response Transmittal (RRT) 09-069 and Service Bulletin (SB) 24-003-09 is no longer applicable for the involved
vehicles only. Those vehicles that have already had this repair performed, as determined by our warranty records, have been excluded from this
notification.
Models
2008 - 2010 (RT) Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town & Country
NOTE:
This notification applies only to the above vehicles equipped with 3.3L or 3.8L engine (sales code EGV or EGL) built through August 07, 2009
(MDH 080702).
IMPORTANT:
Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer used vehicle inventory. Dealers should complete this repair on these vehicles before retail delivery.
Dealers should also perform this repair on vehicles in for service. Involved vehicles can be determined by using the VIP inquiry process.
Subject
The Air Conditioning (A/C) discharge hose on about 182,000 of the above vehicles may crack and leak refrigerant. This could cause a loss of A/C
cooling.
Repair
The air conditioning discharge hose must be replaced.
Parts Information
Each dealer, to whom vehicles in the notification were assigned, will receive enough A/C discharge hoses to service about 10% of those vehicles.
Special Tools
The following special tool is required to perform this repair:
Completion Reporting and Reimbursement
Claims for vehicles that have been serviced must be submitted on the
DealerCONNECT Claim Entry Screen located on the Service tab. Claims
submitted will be used by Chrysler to record Customer Satisfaction Notification service completions and provide dealer payments.
