Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair
Power Steering Pump Pulley - Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Place pulley hub over pump shaft.

2. Place a stack of washers approximately 13 mm (0.5 in.) thickness (2) over pulley hub.

NOTE: Installer, Special Tool C-4063C, is a combination of Installer, Special Tool C-4063C, and Forcing Screw, Special Tool C-4063-2. It is

important to use Forcing Screw C-4063-2 when performing this procedure.

3. Thread Installer (1), Special Tool C-4063C, completely into internal threads of power steering pump shaft, then rotate Installer Nut down against

washers on pump pulley.

4. Ensuring that special tool and pulley remain aligned with pump shaft, tighten Installer Nut, forcing pulley onto power steering pump shaft until

washers come in contact with end of pump shaft. When washers contact end of pump shaft, Installer Nut will no longer rotate.

5. Remove special tool from power steering pump.
