Ball Joint: Service and Repair
Front Suspension Lower Ball Joint - Installation
INSTALLATION
1. Using Ball Joint Press C-4212F (1), installer 10140-1 (2) and 10140-2 (3), press the ball joint into the lower control arm.
2. Install steering knuckle, brake rotor and caliper. See: Front Steering Knuckle/Service and Repair/Front Steering Knuckle - Installation.
3. Install the tire and wheel assembly (1) See: Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Tires and Wheels - Installation.
Install and tighten wheel mounting nuts (3) to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Perform wheel alignment. See: Alignment/Service and Repair.
