SUBJECT:
Inoperative A/C System Due To Rear Evaporator Condition
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the rear A/C evaporator and possibly the rear extension tubes and performing the refrigerant system charge procedure.

NOTE:
The bulletin applied to vehicles equipped with rear air conditioning (Sales Code HBB).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customer may complain that the A/C system doesn't get cold or blows only hot air. This condition may be caused by small leaks at the rear evaporator
tubes within the rear HVAC unit. A new rear evaporator kit has been designed to address this condition.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH or StarSCAN(R)) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify all HVAC systems are
functioning as designed. If DTC's are present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the above symptom/condition is experienced or can be verified, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Replace the rear evaporator (p/n CNTKX210AA). Follow the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/TechCONNECT, Refer To
Group 24 - Heating & Air Conditioning> Plumbing, Rear> Evaporator A/C Rear > Removal and Installation Procedures.
