Sliding Door Hold-Open Latch: Service and Repair
Latch-Hold Open

Removal

REMOVAL

1. Open sliding door mid way.
2. Remove sliding door sill plate.See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Scuff Plate/Service and Repair/Sliding Door Sill Scuff Plate - Removal
3. Remove nuts (2) attaching hold open latch to lower roller arm.
4. Remove hold open latch (4) from lower arm (1).
5. Disconnect cable (3) from hold open latch.
6. Remove hold open latch from vehicle.

Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Connect cable (3) to hold open latch (4).
2. Place hold open latch in position on lower arm (1).
3. Install nuts (2) attaching the hold open latch to lower roller arm. Tighten nuts to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.) torque.
4. Install sliding door sill plate.See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Scuff Plate/Service and Repair/Sliding Door Sill Scuff Plate - Installation
5. Verify sliding door operation and adjust as necessary.
