Flash: Third Row Power Folding Seat Module
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves flashing the Third Row Power Folding Seat Module (FSM) with new software.

2008 - 2009
RT
Caravan/Town & Country
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may experience an intermittent or partial unlatch of the 60 percent third row seat inboard latch while attempting to stow the seat. Customers
may experience the Third Row Power Seat back located in the folded position on the seat cushion preventing the seat from being used. A second attempt
to store the seat may or may not be successful. A software design change has been made to eliminate these intermittent unlatch conditions.
DIAGNOSIS:
Visually inspect the seat latches striker and seat frame for proper alignment operation and that all components are tree of obstructions or foreign debris.
Repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.

REPAIR PROCEDURE - USING THE INTERNET TO RETRIEVE THE FLASH FILE:
NOTE:
The StarMOBILE(TM) in standalone mode can be used for the flash.
NOTE:
Before performing this Repair Procedure, the operating software in the StarSCAN(R); must be programmed with software release level 9.04 or
higher.
The software release level is visible in the blue header at the top of the StarSCAN(R) screen.
