Grand Caravan V6-4.0L (2008)
1. Position the parking brake lever (1) over the mounting studs on the floor mounted bracket (3).
2. Install the three lever mounting nuts (2). Tighten all three nuts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect the wiring connector (2) at the parking brake indicator lamp switch.
4. Pull the button on end of front parking brake cable strand (3) out of housing, then rotate it around and slide the button into place, attaching the
cable to the lever mechanism.
5. Slide any extra cable back into the housing.
6. Reconnect the parking brake cable equalizer to the three parking brake cables and reset the automatic adjuster tension on the cables. Remove the
"grenade" pin (2) from the lever if a new lever is being installed.See: Service and Repair
7. Check operation of the parking brake indicator lamp.
8. Install the floor mounted console (3).See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Floor Console - Installation
9. Check operation of parking brake lever and parking brakes.
