Fuel Injector: Service and Repair
Fuel Injector - Removal

WARNING: The fuel system is under a constant pressure (even with the engine off). Before servicing any part on the fuel system, the fuel
system pressure must be released.
1. Release the fuel system pressure,See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable at battery.
3. Remove clean air hose from throttle body,See: Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair/Air Cleaner Housing - Removal.
4. Use a fuel line release tool to disconnect the quick connect fuel line (1) from the fuel rail (2).
5. Remove the upper intake manifold,See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Intake Manifold - Removal.
