Grand Caravan V6-4.0L (2008)
7. Route hose around left side and front of engine.
NOTE: Before installing power steering pressure hose on power steering pump, replace O-ring on end of power steering pressure hose.
Lubricate O-ring using clean power steering fluid.
8. Install pressure hose (1) into pump (2) fitting. Thread pressure hose tube nut into pump and tighten to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).
9. Install pressure hose routing clamps over studs (3) on engine mounted bracket and install nuts (5). Tighten nut to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
10. Install screw (4) securing pressure hose routing clamp to left side of engine. Tighten screw to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
11. Install negative (-) battery cable on negative battery post.
12. Fill and bleed power steering system.See: Power Steering Bleeding/Service and Repair
13. Inspect for leaks.
Return Hose - Gear To Cooler
GEAR TO COOLER
1. Place return hose into engine compartment using reverse order of removal.
2. Install return hose routing clamp over battery tray mounting stud.
3. Install return hose (2) to cooler over return hose (5) from gear tube. Slide hose clamp into position on fluid reservoir and attach it. Be sure hose
clamp is installed past bead on fluid reservoir fitting.
4. Place the battery tray (3) into mounted position.
5. Install the one nut (1) and two bolts (2) securing the battery tray (3) to the frame rail (4).
6. Tighten the nut to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.).
7. Tighten the bolts to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.).
